The series Sherlock is a current obsession of mine. As much as I enjoy tracking the #Sherlock tag, I grow increasingly hesitant— I’m slightly mortified by the Sherlock/Watson fanfic. The idea of “shipping” is foreign to me, and not homophobic in the least, I just hold the classic tales by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle pretty sacred and maybe I’m a bit of a purist. The cinematography, characters, actors’ performances, fitting music and, of course, the script/writing of the show are incredibly brilliant and enough to keep my brain in a constant state of stimulation when I think about it. I guess I can’t imagine needing to go any further than that. Pero’, a ciascuno il suo.
